Adventure Kult presents” THE DU TOIT’s KLOOF EXPESS”

The ride is focussed on the social experience with the aim to bring back the fun & the family to a MTB Stage race. The race will start and finish on DVine Estate where there will be family entertainment and hospitality on both days. DVine Estate is situated in the picturesque Du Toit’s Kloof, Paarl and heads out into the sunrise traversing the Haweqwas Nature Reserve, just short of Wellington making its way towards one of the largest Olive farms in South Africa, the picturesque Buffet Olive Farm of Paarl. The event is a clover leave route.  I chose these specific roads to incorporate the diverse vegetation of our area and the idea is not to make you suffer on long boring roads in the wind but to thrill you with the beauty of Du Toit’s Kloof and surrounding areas.

Experience the beauty of the Haweqwas Nature Reserve with a sunrise and Drakenstein Mountain backdrop whilst riding towards Wellington. The terrain varies all the time with short mountain "passes" and zigzagging alongside olive trees and grape vines, unique to Paarl, plus flat sections where you can hammer it.  Well stocked water points will keep your bottles full and a smile on your dial. Come challenge yourself!

The whole area has incredible scenery and then of course there are the single track, jeep trails and dirt roads to keep you honest while enjoying the fresh air and Paarl’s local community hospitality and encouragement.

The distances make it possible for all fitness levels to experience this stunning 2 day ride: 55km, 44km and 33km for the single day entry on the 2^nd day of the event.

This event is open for Gravel bikes, Mountain bikes and E bikes.

Event Distances

2 Day Stage Race Cost R790.00

Day 1 55km: The route runs all the way to Wellington’s borders with short climbs that will test your lungs.  Just a fun way to get to see Paarl and Wellington from different viewpoints.  

851m Ascent 

Day 2 44km:  Through the Haweqwas reserve makes this the ideal distance for day 2 if you have some fitness left in your legs.  Not too long just the perfect distance making you finish in that sweet spot.  

693m Ascent 

Single Day Entry (Day 2) Cost R290.00

33 Km : Designed to bring out the best in any cyclist without the dehydration. The trail will appeal to the weekend cyclist that does not want to break their back but rather enjoy the views of Paarl from the Drakenstein Mountain side.
