OVERVIEW & FACTS

The Houwhoek Tour gives you the opportunity to cycle some of Elgin's magnificent trails. The Tour also aims to let you explore and experience what a multi-stage event is all about. The event is untimed and offers a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Entry Fee            R1 000 per person (individual entries not team entries). The entry fee includes a Hamburger and chips on Saturday and a Wors roll and chips on Sunday, but it excludes all accommodation.

Start times          Mass start at 8h00

Registration        5 May from 14h00 until 19h00 at the Houwhoek Hotel

                           6/7 May from 6h30 until 7h45 at the Houwhoek Hotel

ROUTE INFORMATION

The start and finish of both stages will be at the Houwhoek Hotel. Mass start at 8h00 from the lawn at the back of the Hotel. E-BIkes are allowed.

• Wildekrans Loop on Saturday
  A 45km loop down Houwhoek Pass, on the new Beaumont River Trail, Van der Stel Pass, Rooihoogte, Wildekrans and back along the Houwhoek Pass.
• Paul Cluver Loop on Sunday
  A 45km loop along the Jakkals River, new sections such as Trunks, the Rail trail, the popular Paul Cluver Trails and back along the Korteshoven and Houwhoek Switchback and Single Tracks.
