Lace up your shoes for the 1st Kam"Bati 6 Hour Challenge in beautiful wintery surroundings at the spectacular Kam'Bati River Resort. Perfect for runners trying out their first trail event, or pushing themselves to a new distance. With 5km loops the aim is to run as many laps of 5km in a team format.

Kam’Bati is situated on an Overberg farm called Jubileeskraal, that is approximately 20km west of Swellendam. The Sonderendriver and Breede River meets on the property that is owned and managed by the Badenhorst Family. Jubileeskraal is a working farm where production of Barley, Weat, Canola and Corn takes place.

Kam’Bati River Resort offers Grassed Campsites with electricity and clean ablutions, Self-Catering Cabins and luxury Africamp Tents. The resort is very safe, clean and child friendly. 

Event Info:

Entry fee: R9 900 per team of 3. All meals, accommodation and goody bag with shirt included.

No solo runners. Only Teams.

5km Laps - The route will meander through the nature reserve.

Teams of 3. Runner 1 must hand over to runner 2. Runner 2 to runner 3 and then runner 3 hands back to runner 1. 

Start Time  -  8:00

Finish Time  -  14:00

Cut of for last lap will be at 13:59.

The combined total of laps per team will determine the winners.

Stunning transition area next to river where teams will be able to setup their gazibo's for team support. 

Great Prizes up for grabs. Male Team, Female Team and Mixed Team.

Registration will be open on Friday afternoon at 4pm at the main function venue.

Meals:

All meals will be included.

Braai Pack for Friday evening. Fires will be at the main event area. Teams can braai at their own camp sites if they want to.

Coffee, Fruit Juice, Breakfast Bun, Cereals and Yoghurt on Saturday morning.

Steak Braai late Saturday afternoon. 

The Pizza restaurant called Pekish will be open for the weekend.

Accommodation

All participants will stay in the  tents provided by Petrichore.

Cost of extra bed, mattress and chair in your tent should you wish to bring a partner. R500.

Family and friends

Additional tents can be booked for family and friends at R2000 per tent for the 2 nights. 

These tents will have:

2x Stretchesr, 2x Mattresses, Bedside Table, 2x Chair. No electricity in the tent or bedding provided - please bring your own.
