Welcome to our Second Maxi Recce for 2023!
Try a pair of ON Trail Running Shoes and Get to know parts of our Maxi Routes for 2023!
This year we are proud to announce that Stellies Shakeout Running Crew will plan and lead runners over two separate distances, depending on your fitness level. Routes aren't marked, instead you will receive a GPX file of the route and guidance from the SSO crew leader.
Choose from two distances that will take you from Banhoek Chilli Oil into the Bethlehem Farm and into the stunning Banhoek Conservancy.
You won't be racing, but instead enjoy the trails, views and conversations over a couple of hours of exploration, followed by lunch and a couple of cold ones!
Coffee, Lunch and your First beer is included in your entry!
Get your family and friends to join you afterwards for lunch - Banhoek Chilli Oil Taste Kitchen. has great food, better views and a Kid's Area.
Distance Options:
25-30km* - Starts @ 8:00 from Banhoek Chilli Oil Taste Kitchen (Registration from 7:00 with your coffee) - ONLINE ENTRIES CLOSED
12-15km* - Starts @ 9:00 from Banhoek Chilli Oil Taste Kitchen (Registration from 8:15 with your coffee) - SOLD OUT
*Distances and GPX Files will be confirmed closer to the time - please note you can always turn back or run further should you want. If you choose to break away from the group leaders you will be responsible for finding your own way home.

Entry Fees include all of the above:
25-30km - R450
12-15km - R350
You won't be racing, but instead running in a pace-group of your choice, led by a lead runner and a GPX file of the route (The Route will not be marked!).
It's about mingling, enjoying and experiencing the beauty that the start of winter has to offer.
