TERRAIN:

On the slopes of the Simonsberg, areas of vineyards are interspersed with areas of steep forest as well as thick fynbos.  A network of farm roads, tracks and paths cover the area.  Leg cover is recommended on the technical courses.

WINE TASTING:

Each entry will receive a free limited wine tasting!

COURSES:

• Blue:  7.6km, 425m climb.  (Technically difficult and physically demanding course)
• Green:  5.7km, 250m climb  (Technically difficult but not as physically demanding as blue course)
• Light Green:  3.3km, 150m climb  (Technically more difficult than Orange.  Ideal for those with some orienteering experience)
• Red:  6.5km, 270m climb  (Technically easy but physically demanding course)
• Orange:  3.0km, 100m climb  (Technically easy.  Basic use of the compass and route choice. Ideal for novice orienteers, children, families)
