How the Score Event works
We give you a detailed 1:10,000 map of the entire Treverton campus including the nature reserve. You find as many of the Control Points (CPs) marked on the map, in any order, as you can in 150 minutes. The further away the CP the more points you earn! Punch your card at the CP to prove you were there and don’t be home late as you will lose points. The competitor with the most points in the least time is the winner.
How the Point-to-Point Event works
We give you a detailed 1:5,000 map of the Treverton campus including part of the nature reserve. The map has several numbered CPs. You need to visit the CP in numeric order from the start point to the finish point. Competitors start at 1-minute intervals like a cycle time trial. The competitor with the fastest time after everyone has finished is the winner. The course will be approximately 4km.
Start Times
There will be 2 ‘Score’ Events and 2 ‘Point-to-Point Events’, you can participate in either event on Friday and/or Saturday. The Score Event starts at 14h00 and on Friday 9 November and 9h00 on Saturday 10 November. The Point-to-Point event has competitors starting in 1-minute intervals between 14:30 and 16:00 on Friday and between 9:30 and 11:00 on Saturday.
