On Friday evening the 26th of January we will host our 2nd Full Moon Hike on Klapmutskop @ Delvera Farm near Klapmuts.

You will hike a section on a gravel road through the vineyards before heading into some amazing single track towards Klapmutskop.  At the top the most amazing views will await you if you make it to the top before dark. On top of we will serve you with a glass of Delheim Wine that is included in the fee. Then its downhill back towards the start/finish area through some single track and then some easy Jeeptrack to take you back home.

The hike is a medium hike with some rocky sections, some hills and some single track. It is suggested to hike with proper tekkies. 

Lazy hikers will be transported by bakkie to the halfway mark.

We can only accommodate 50 hikers at a time at this stage so make sure that you enter to avoid disappointment. 

Hikers will be able to book tented accommodation. 

The "Glamping" accommodation will include:

• 3x3m Canvas Tent
• 2 x Stretchers (1 Stretcher for single person)
• 2 x Mattresses (1 Mattress per single person)
• One Lamp
• Braai on Friday evening. Bring your own food.
• We will provide wood, braai equipment, cutlery, plates and cups.
• The next day it is the Prestige Trail Run so vendors will be available with coffee etc.
• Toilets
• If we get 10 tented bookings then we will have showers available. If not then there will unfortunately be no showers.

We will have cold beer and Delheim wine on sale. The beer and wine can be ordered online when you enter.

Also note that R20 of your entry fee will be donated to the Greater Simonsberg Conservancy: The Greater Simonsberg Conservancy is a Non Profit and Public Benefit Organisation, with the aim to support its private landowners around the base of the Simonsberg Mountain, Klapmutskop and the Banhoek Valley, in their conservation efforts, as well as providing environmental education and conservation awareness services in the surrounding communities.  

Cost

Hike  -  R150 - Includes permit fee and glass of wine on top at lookout point. Hike start at 18:00.

"Glamping" Single  -  R650 

"Glamping" Double  -  R850
