Join us for either or both Cradock and George peaks - with an 18-21km out&back route and approx 1600m elevation, you'd need to be quite fit&strong - this is a 8 - 10 hour outing with lots of climbing. 

What to expect: A beautiful view over George, the Swartberg Mountains and the coast! 

We will follow the Witfontein Middle contour route and from there proceed to the saddle between the two peaks. We head West to Cradock peak and then back to the saddle either towards George peak and back, or from there back to Witfontein Forest.

New friendships, camaraderie and great conversations between fellow hikers. And you would have conquered two peaks in one day and receive two pieces of the puzzle!

📢 

Compulsary items: Suitable lightweight hydration-/backpack, sunscreen, hat, proper trail shoes with sufficient grip, something to eat, enough water. Lightweight windproof jacket/fleece, buff, beanie and gloves depending the weather. (We will aim to postpone the hike in the case of rain, but a waterproof jacket might be a handy kit item). Best to always dress in layers.

Emergency kit: Space blanket, whistle emergency energy bar/trail food, stretch bandage in case of a strained ankle and many other uses and a small petroleum jelly for eyes/lips/chafing etc.

Fingerless gloves for grip, hiking poles, coffee, wet wipes.
