RACE / COMPETITION RULES
- The race is run under the Rules of WA, ASA and Lima.
- F21 2025 incorporates ASA Half Marathon Championships, and this means Elite athletes and contenders will start in front.
- If you believe that you are elite athlete, send an email to [email protected] to make application before closing of pre-entries.
- Race numbers must be worn on the front of the running vest.
- Athletes do not need to belong to a club to participate, but must purchase a temporary license that will be fitted on the back of the vest.
- Obey all Marshalls and traffic officers.
- Runners MUST be 16 years or older on race day.
- All participants must present their ID document at registration.
- All athletes who have not reached the 4km mark by 14:30 or 15km mark by 16:00 will be transported back to the field.
- Cut off to be eligible for a prize is 2h30 at 16:00.
- Cut off for 21.1km is 3h30 at 17:00.
- All foreign athletes to present their passport at registration.
- All prize winners will be subjected to a doping test; failure to avail yourself is a serious offence.
- Prize money will only be paid after doping results are received from Dope testing institution after ±3 weeks after the race day.
- Athletes who win prize money must present their banking details and ID document / Passport.
- No registration and collection of prizes on behalf of fellow athletes will be allowed.
- Entries cannot be refunded, cancelled, returned or exchanged on account of weather or unforeseen events occurring beyond the control of the event organisers except for COVID-19 as entry will be moved to the next F21 event.
- No prize money will be paid on the day of the Races.
- Prize money for breaking the course record will only be paid to the first athlete after re-measuring of the course.
- Foreign athletes will be subjected to 15 % tax on the prize money (SARS and ASA instructions).
- All foreign athletes must comply with WA Rule 4 (C3.3) with regard to permission from his/her country of origin to participate outside the country. Written proof of such permission must be provided on race day, should he/she be eligible for any prize money.
- The use of any technology or appliance that provide the user with an advantage which he/she would not have obtained using the equipment is not permissible.
- I grant F21 and it’s authorized agents permission to use my name, photographs, or other account free of charge.
