Have you got what it takes to finish The Lifeguard Challenge? 

Experience the False Bay coastline like you never have before by Running and Swimming between Simon's Town and Fish Hoek. Join us for the 'Lifeguard Challenge' a 6km RunSwim race in collaboration with and in support of Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club. This RunSwim route is a regular training staple for many of the Fish Hoek Surf Lifesavers and Lifeguards that perform voluntary duty on our local beaches during the Summer months in Cape Town. No wonder they're amongst the very best in South Africa!

Pair up with your best friend, clubbie, spouse, partner, brother, sister, mom, or dad. Whomever you choose, you will START and FINISH this challenge TOGETHER! Teams will Run Swim their way along the False Bay Coastline starting from Simon's Town Long Beach before finishing at Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club. Teams will have to complete 4 Runs totalling 5kms and 4 Swims totaling 1km. The longest run will be 2km and the longest swim will be 500m approximately. The perfect RunSwim challenge for both newbies and more experienced athletes. 

There will be two categories on the day, a Race Category - The Otters (chasing podiums and prizes) and an Adventure Category - The Penguins (focussing on enjoyment and completing the challenge). There will be Prizes for the First All Male, All Female and Mixed Teams. So remember to choose your partner wisely! Will it be the Lifeguards that once again take team honours or will it be a team of Triathletes, Runners, Swimmers or weekend warriors!

NOTE: RunSwimmers Under 14 may enter ONLY IF they have a Lifesaving South Africa Level 2 Nipper (Under 11 and Under 12) or a Level 3 Nipper (Under 13 and Under 14) Award. Under 14 RunSwimmers must be teamed up with an Adult preferably a parent.
