21.1Km, 10Km &  5Km (fun run) ROAD RUNNING RACES

The In Touch Athletic Club is based in Kuils River from which it draws most members. The main objective is to encourage healthy lifestyles through social and competitive sport in general, and athletics in particular. From road races, we have branched out to trail runs and hiking.

Starting out in 2004 for social running and walking, we have grown into a medium size athletic club.

The Club has organised an annual road race over various distance for the past 13 years. This year, our race over three distances (21.1km, 10km and 5km), is scheduled for Sunday, 29 September 2024 starting from and ending at the Zevenwacht Mall in Kuils River.

Whether you're a seasoned runner aiming for a podium finish or a casual jogger in the 10 and 21.1km challenges, or simply out for some fun in the 5km walk, there's something for everyone at this delightful event. Athletes have a breath-taking view of Table Mountain and the VNA Waterfront as the route takes them through the picturesque Zevenwacht Wine Estate.  This event is popular amongst athletes. The 21km race will start at 6h30 and 10km at 7h00 on overlapping routes. The 5km race starts at 8h00 through Vredelust. The event is expected to end by 10h30 after which you can go on a shopping spree at the retail stores. The race routes will be supervised by marshals and the key points will be managed by traffic officers of the City to mitigate inconvenience and risks to participants and motorists.

So, mark your calendars and pack out your takkies after a long hibernation to step into a world where the joy of running meets the charm of walking among the vineyards – an experience you won't want to miss! Athletes can safely run and/or walk the races on the pavement/walkways or road within the cones. There are very few cat eyes on these roads to disrupt your race.

Refreshment stations will be available every 4km on the 21.1km and 10km routes and 1 station available on the 5km route.
