The Perdekop hiking trail and nature Walk, or Horse's head in English, is an easy leisurely walk along flowers, mushrooms and millipedes, through the indigenous Harkerville forest with a gentle forest stream falling into a pool, a great picnic spot halfway along the route.

Permits (R50) obtainable from the SANParks office at the start of the trail.

? Suitable lightweight hydration-/backpack/hip pouch 

? Hydration/bottled water

? Sunscreen

? Hat/head gear

? Suitable non-slip shoes

? Snacks

? Lightweight windproof jacket

? Fleece/midlayer depending the weather

? Your own emergency items, such as bandage, small petroleum jelly, blister plasters, etc

✨ Optional items:

Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, beanie, buffs, sunglasses.

We'll meet at the dedicated visitor's parking area for the Perdekop Trail at Sanparks Harkerville, around 8h45.
