The Cape Dune Molerat trail in the Garden Route National Park is a 8,5km circuit with a huge amount of mole heaps, hence the name! 

This is a moderate to easy route with lots of bird species, plenty of fynbos and beautiful scenery along the Wolwerivier towards Swartvlei near Sedgefield.

Difficulty is rated 4/10.

? Suitable lightweight hydration-/backpack/hip pouch 

? Hydration/bottled water

? Sunscreen

? Hat/head gear

? Suitable non-slip shoes (Off road shoes. Normal sneakers/road running shoes are NOT suitable) 

? Snacks

? Lightweight windproof jacket

? Fleece/midlayer depending the weather

? Your own emergency items, such as bandage, small petroleum jelly, blister plasters, etc

✨ Optional items:

Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, beanie, buffs, sunglasses.

♡ Meet at around 7:45 at the parking area.

♡ Hike starts at 8h00.
