We are back at Zevenwacht Wine Estate on Sunday 2 November for the 2nd Trail in our Series.

This time we are back to make a difference in the life of a really special 12-year-old boy. 

Our chosen charity for 2025 is once again the Little Mason Foundation. 

Mason suffers from a rare skin disease called Harlequin Ichthyosis (HI).  Earlier this year Mason was once again hospitalized and spent two long months in hospital as a result of contracting a severe infection that spread to his bloodstream and bones. 

For children with HI, infections like these can be extremely dangerous - even life-threatening.

After a very difficult recovery and a long time spent in bed, Mason’s Achilles tendons have shortened in both legs. This makes it very hard for him to walk. He can manage short distances, but for most of his day - especially outside the house - he now depends on a wheelchair.

Because of his sensitive skin and unique medical needs, a suitable wheelchair for Mason starts at around R60,000. This will give him the freedom, dignity, and independence that every 12-year-old deserves - and help him on the painful days when walking simply isn’t possible.

To assist with the purchasing of a wheelchair for Mason.

TRAIL INFORMATION

We recently introduced a 15km distance to the current 10km and 5km repertoire and with Spring in the air, Moms & Tots can also join the fun with our 3km Moms & Tots Fun Walk. A lighthearted trail for little feet and big SMILES   

Bring the babies in their strollers and the toddlers in their Tackies as we walk through the vineyards and enjoy the beautiful sight of Table Mountain. Don't forget your cellphone/camera to catch those special moments.

We also introduced a special trail medal, which is really cute. And don't forget, our event will be timed by Bout Time.

Entry fees: 

Moms & Tots              R70 (including 2 kids under the age of 5)

Children 7 - 17 years  R70,00 (5km)

Children over 17 years pay the adult fee

Adults:

5km   - R140 (all finishers receive a medal)

10km - R170 (all finishers receive a medal)

15km - R200 (all finishers receive a medal)
