The Rock Ultra 2025 Recce Run #2 - Saturday, 25 October 2025 @ Blacksmith's Kitchen

Join us for the SECOND Recce Run of the 2025 build-up to The Rock Ultra. 

This is a free recce run to introduce the community to new sections of The rock Ultra 100 route. 

We have identified 2 challenging and rewarding mountain running routes for trail runners of various fitness levels.

A 10km runnable route that takes runners along Jan Phillips drive to the (in)famous Waterval climb to Ou Kraal kamp and returning via the "Sputnik" antenna trail that has been cleared by The Rock Ultra (T.R.U.) crew. The 19km cruise of Paarl Mountain's BMW loop will introduce runners to the unexpected vastness of the Paarl Mountain Nature reserve, tallying 700m of elevation gain!

*NB - RECCE RUN #2 is NOT just about beautiful trail running - our hosts at the Mediterranean-inspired Blacksmith's Kitchen will be ready with pre-run coffees and inspired post-run brunch options, which include wood-fired pizza oven treats. Prepare to experience alot of happiness by the body;-)

The routes will have basic markings and a .gpx files for the routes are available for download from the STRAVA event page and the Whatsapp community.
