Venue: Mabalingwe Game Reserve, Bela-Bela
Event Format: Solo entries only
Distances:
3 Day: Day 1: 62km Day 2: 56km and Day 3: 63km
2 Day: Day 1: 56km and Day 2: 63km
Saturday: 56km OR 30km OR 10km OR 2km

Entry Fees (does not include first days gate entrance fees (R30) to the Game Reserve):

Meal packages based on:
4 course Dinners from Thursday to Saturday: R150 pp per night
Full Breakfast: R120 pp per day

Bike service:
Full bike service for 1 day is R550
Full bike service for 2 days is R1100
(you can book this on your entry form)

Bike wash at R20 per wash

Ad Hoc bike service and repairs:
Participants handling their own basic maintenance and cleaning, we will still gladly look after the more serious issues.

You can bring your bike to the service area, and let us know what you want fixed. In all cases, parts are not included. Parts will be available but it is advisable to supply your own parts as we cannot cater for all different brands and models.

We strongly recommend that you please bring along spare parts for your bikes specific components. All maintenance work is to be paid for by either cash or EFT before the bike is released.

Registration and late entries:
Pre-entries close 4 April 2015, no late entries will be allowed for the 3 day and 2 day events. Late entries for the 56km, 30km, 10km and 2km will be during registration. Registration for the 3 day event will be Thursday, 9 April from 16:00 ~ 20:00 and Friday, 10 April from 05:30 to 07:00. Registration for the 2 day event and 1 day events will be Friday, 10 April from 16:00 ~ 20:00 and Saturday, 11 April 05:30 ~ 07:00.

Prizes and Categories:
First 2 Males, First 2 Females, 1st Veteran Male, Female, 1st Master Male, Female and 1st Junior Male and Female will receive a prize.

Spot prizes at the prize giving. All prizewinners must be at the prize giving to receive their medals/prizes.

Compulsory Equipment (for your own safety):
As a precaution, we would like you to carry the following compulsory equipment with you during the race. It is for your own personal safety. Please adhere to the following:

  • Cell phone (on roaming please)
  • zip lock bag to keep phone dry
  • Space blanket
  • Backpack
  • Long Thermal base layer (pants and top)
  • Whistle
  • Hat
  • Emergency food
  • Headlamp
  • Water bottles
  • Sunscreen (factor 50)
  • Outer shell jacket (waterproof)
  • First aid kit

Please ensure that you have the compulsory equipment with you at all times during the race as conditions change quickly up in the mountains.
