Run the Roaring Sky is a brand-new trail run set in the heart of the Dinokeng area, just a short 30-minute drive from Pretoria.

Runners can choose between two distances on the day:

5km – Flat & Fast
A scenic yet speedy route made up of gravel roads and jeep track. Perfect for beginners or those chasing a fast finish.

17km – Wild & Challenging
A tougher adventure featuring climbs, a river crossing, and truly unforgettable surroundings. The route follows mostly jeep track, with some gravel sections and a short stretch of single track.

Along the way, you may encounter giraffe, impala, sable, and wildebeest—and if you listen closely, you might even hear the roar of lions echoing from nearby camps.

This is trail running as nature intended. 🦁🌿

Roaring Sky Base Camp is a laid-back bush hideaway nestled in the Dinokeng area, a short drive from Pretoria. Surrounded by natural bushveld and open skies, the venue offers an authentic, down-to-earth escape where nature takes centre stage.

The base camp features simple, comfortable lodge facilities and a fully licensed on-site restaurant offering hearty meals and refreshments. Guests can relax on the outdoor deck, enjoy the sounds of the bush and soak up the relaxed, rustic charm that makes Roaring Sky a true bushveld retreat.
