Welcome to the Gravel Rush! 

The Gravel Rush is an ultra-endurance gravel mountain bike race that will push your limits and take you through some of the most beautiful and challenging terrains in the Free State. 

The Gravel Rush: Lion and Tiger Edition is charging onto the calendar on 11 April 2026, offering an ultra-endurance experience hosted at the spectacular Boskoppie Lion and Tiger Reserve near Kroonstad.

Riders can choose between two formidable distances designed to showcase the best of the region's rugged gravel roads and scenic farmlands.

The Venue: Boskoppie Lion & Tiger Reserve

Starting and finishing at a big cat sanctuary adds a primal energy to the race. Expect wide-open landscapes, the crunch of gravel under your tires, and the unique opportunity to race through a region known for its untamed spirit.
