Imagine Animal Dreams is a safe haven run by Cecilia Jacobs, a place where rescued and abused animals can live in harmony and have a second chance at life.
As a young girl Cecilia always had rescue in her heart, she dreamed of buying her own farm when she got older and taking all the stray animals in. As she grew older she realized it is impossible to save every animal but her motto became save those that you can, never turn an animal away and be kind to everything.
Her journey started when she moved to a property and found a very abused Rottweiler pup. She agreed to rent the property on condition that she may keep the pup, she nurtured her and called her Sasha.
Sasha's story helped others see how caring and kind Cecilia was to animals and so people started bringing her strays and abused dogs. Cecilia's collection of rescues grew and it was time to either move of the rented property or give her animals up. She of course chose to move. She moved to form a union with another rescue org in Melkbosstrand where she gained knowledge on how to medicate and treat sick and injured animals.
She then moved to Joostenbergvlakte with her 21 dogs, 37 cats and 2 pigs where she decided to call her sanctuary "Imagine". This would be a place for abused and neglected animals to live a happy and peaceful life until they find their forever homes.
