Join us for the Keurberg Hike Challenge - with 11km circuit, and approx 1047m elevation, you'd need to be reasonably fit for this hike - this is a 6 hour outing.

After reaching the peak, we’ll continue further down the mountain and make our way to the Gorilla Caves for a well-deserved mid-morning break to eat, relax, and refuel before heading back.

Once we reach the bottom at Topping, we’ll return to Sputnik via the well-known “Pass to Pass” route, connecting the Montagu Pass and Outeniqua Pass.

? Compulsary items: Suitable lightweight hydration-/backpack, sunscreen, hat, comfortable shoes, something to eat, enough water. Lightweight windproof jacket/fleece, beanie and gloves depending the weather. (We will aim to postpone the hike in the case of rain, but a waterproof jacket might be a handy kit item). Best to always dress in layers. Space blanket, emergency energy bar/trail food, bandage, small petroleum jelly comes in handy for chafing etc.

Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, buffs, coffee.
