What can you expect to see on the trails?
Coastal scenery
The biggest draw is undoubtedly the coastline. Expect dramatic cliff-top walking, panoramic ocean views, secluded coves, and numerous lookout points. Voëlklip remains accessible and offers some of the finest views on the Garden Route.

Fynbos in recovery
A major alien-clearing programme has already restored over 100 hectares. This means you'll see recovering indigenous fynbos with proteas, ericas, restios, and seasonal wildflowers. The landscape should become even more spectacular over the next few years as rehabilitation progresses.

Wildlife
You may be lucky enough to spot:

The elusive Cape Dwarf Gecko
During whale season (roughly June–November), the elevated viewpoints provide excellent opportunities to spot southern right whales offshore. Dolphins are also regularly seen along this stretch of coast.
