Cape Town 10s Rugby
Rugby 10s is said to have originated in Malaysia (a nation that is yet to make its debut at the Rugby World Cup). Cape Town 10s rugby provides a platform for social rugby to be showcased and allow the non professional players to compete socially in a sport they enjoy.
The rules are very similar to those of rugby sevens, but teams consist of 20 players, with 10 players on the field at a time (usually five forwards and five backs), and games typically consist of two 9 minute halves with a 2 minute half time.
Division Description
Min : 10 players on the field
Max: 20 players per team
This is the most social division. The teams that enter should consist of players that are fairly active and possibly played rugby at some point in their lives, but are not currently playing rugby regularly.
