The Wagon Trail Night Runs will be a series of six 5km and 10km night runs taking place from the 9th of September on every 1st or 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Anura Wine Estate just outside Klapmuts on the R45.
Situated at the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountains on the majestic Anura Wine Estate the Wagon Trail Brewery is the latest addition to the Anura collection.
Brewed on the site of the old route used to service the trading post at Cape Town harbour in 1819, the beers at The Wagon Trail Brewery pays homage to those who forged the original wagon trail and their enduring quest for refreshment. Each of our finely crafted beers is an ice-cold, thirst-quenching tribute to pioneering spirit. Every unexpected twist, a salute to those trailblazers who break the rules for rewarding results.
With all this in mind you will now be able to become one of these “Trailblazers” while running on the 150 hectares of vines on the farm. A Trailblazer is a person who makes new track through wild country.
After your run you can experience the wine of the farm, the cold beer of the brewery and the good food of the restaurant all while enjoying live music at the Lilly Pad Restaurant. You are welcome to bring the kids along to walk/run the 5km with you. They will be able to play in the safe children’s playing area while you have your refreshments.
The cost for the two fun introduction events will be R50 weather you run the 5km or 10km. After the run you we will have all the info available about the series. You will be able to relax, have a meal, enjoy the craft beer and listen to live music.
The 1st two events will be fun events. There-after a proper series of 6 events will be hosted with timing, medals and a log with an overall winner at the end of the series. The runs of the proper series will start at 6:30pm for the 10km and 6:45pm for the 5km.

· 9 September 2015 – 1st Event of series
· 7 October 2015 - 2nd Event of series
· 4 November 2015 – 3rd Event of series
· 2 December 2015 – 4th Event of series
· 6 January 2016 – 5th Event of series
· 3 February 2016 – 6th Event of series.
If you pre-enter and complete all 6 runs you will receive a Magnum bottle of wine depicting the series after the last event as well as a discounted entry fee. You will also be able to run for free at the first two fun introduction events.
