Barrydale Hospice
The Wacky Butterfly Trail Run takes place at the beautiful Jan Harmsgat farm near Swellendam/Ashton/Bonnievale on the weekend of the Wacky Wine Festival in the Robertson valley. It is presented by the Barrydale Hospice as a fundraiser event.
The Barrydale Hospice mission is to offer palliative care to promote quality in life, dignity in death and support in bereavement to all persons living with a life-threatening illness. It also wishes to implement educational programs to prevent the spread of disease.
The Barrydale Hospice is currently a huge asset to the Barrydale community and to become a fully sustainable hospice, they need funds and regular donors to support the work they do.
Your contribution by entering this trail run will benefit all hospice patients as well as the community of Barrydale.

Short route (5km): R 80
Long route (10km): R 120

Medals to 300 finishers
Waterpoints: Two for the 10km and one for the 5km. Please be self-supported if you need more.
Not pram friendly. No dogs allowed.
IMPORTANT:
The race will happen on the farm opposite the Jan Harmsgat Country House entrance. (From Ashton on your right and from Swellendam on your left).
The prize giving will then move over to the Jan Harmsgat Country House opposite the road at 10:00
Please note the trail is not an easy one. You will have hills and loose stones. Mostly jeep track.

TIMING
Timing will be done manually. You will have a wristband with a number on it. Your time at the finish will be put next to your number on a list.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, boy and girl <14 on 5km

Food, Coffee and Cooldrink/Water are for sale. Please bring cash
DONOR BOX
We will have a donor box if you would like to donate non-perishable food, toiletries or clothes for the Barrydale Hospice.
