WELCOME TO THE GRIND AT THE TRACK - GET IN THE ZONE AND EMBRACE THE GRIND

 As you may have noticed...we like unique venues. This event is no different.

Our final event of the year will be contested at Zone 7 - Africa's biggest and best Motocross and Enduro motorcycle track and will end off with a huge year end party during the day and into the night.

THE GRIND - Obstacle Course Race has been created for everyone, we offer a unique spectator friendly experience for everyone from corporate fun seekers to fitness enthusiasts and elite athletes. We have a course for everyone including The Rapid Grind 6km with 20 to 30 Obstacles and the Deep Grind 12 km with 30 to 40 Obstacles.

 We chose Zone 7 as our next venue because it ticks all the important boxes-

1: Unique Venue
2: Spectator Friendly
3: Achievable Distance
4: Great place to have a year end party
and most important- LESS RUN MORE FUN

 There will be plenty entertainment during the day and a live band in the evening to kick the holidays off with a bang
 The event will run from 8am until late with the first batch to leave the starting gates at 8:00 and the last at 18:00

RACE TYPES?

THE RAPID GRIND 6km: 20 to 30 obstacles over a easier course but still challenging. As always the Rapid Grind 6km has been designed with first timers in mind and is a great introduction to Obstacle Course Racing, it will be challenging but achievable and is suited to corporates and people with very basic fitness levels
 
THE DEEP GRIND 12km: 30 to 40 obstacles over a reasonably flat trail but through thick sand and multiple mud pits

THE DEEP GRIND ELITE 12km – 30 to 40 obstacles over a reasonably flat trail but through thick sand and multiple mud pits - Prize Money up for grabs for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th placed Women and Men

The Deep Grind 12km and ELITE will loop off of the 6km course and includes a interesting mix of sand, mud, rolling Motocross hills and some very difficult obstacles.
 
THE LITTLE G: 1km – 10 obstacle whippersnapper course to keep the kids entertained(ages- 4 to 10)

We offer the biggest prize packages for all classes totaling R50000.00 – We have listened to our guests and in addition to the ELITE prizes we have added prize money for Under 13's, Under 18's and Masters 40 and over:

Take the N7 from Cape Town towards Malmesbury
Pass Vissershok Rd and the dumping grounds
Turn right (off the N7) at West Coast Show Ranch / Van Schoorsdrif turn off
Zone 7 is on your right, as you've turned.

What to Bring:
Here are a few tips and ideas on what to bring with you on race day!
·       ID and registration number – Race packet Pickup is on Thursday before the event at CENTURY CITY CLUB HOUSE - 3 Park Lane, Grand Central, Century City, Cape Town
·       Change of Clothes and a Towel – There will be changing areas and rinse-off stations onsite for participants
·       Warm Clothing and a blanket or two if you are staying into the evening – it might be cold
·       Family and Friends- bring them along to support
·       Cash – There will be The Grind Merchandise for sale onsite as well as onsite vendors selling food and refreshments. You              won't want to miss out!
·       Gopro or camera – WE WANT TO SEE YOUR PICS AND VIDS
